Street Theatre

Tim was telling us about this today. I think it's an absolutely incredible campaign.

There is a fierce debate raging in the UK about face to face fundraising. The public apparently hate it, charities are quite rightly spending a lot of time defending it. Campaigns like this should inspire us to bring innovation to our approach to street fundraising.

If you like this you will love this.

  1. This reminds me of a blog post from Ken Burnett "50 Ways to that could transform how the public views street and door-to-door fundraising".

The MSF campaign is the type of F2F that Ken was prescribing in his article.

  3. Hi Paul,

I remember working with MSF many years ago when they did a 'street' campaign across various European cities and created mock refugee medical centers. The public were then invited to walk in, inspect them and realise how poor the conditions were. What better way to get across the need - literally putting people into the situation!

    Cheers

  4. Hi James,

Thanks for commenting. I think I remember that campaign. I really think that we need to be doing more things like this to inspire the public to give. We can do so much more than give a street fundraiser a branded jacket!
