Solidarity is an underused word...

I'm a big fan of Massive Attack. For their music their attitude.

Their collaboration with UNHCR on their recent tour was fantastic.

In the film above 3D talks about solidarity and IMHO solidarity is an under used word in our world.

Maybe there's a fear that expressing solidarity will label the user as some form of left wing extremist or communist. Which is silly...

Which brings me back to this ad. I love the words.

Wear it
for someone living with HIV
for someone lost to it
for people you know and people you don't
not out of charity but in solidarity
for a world where HIV stigma is a thing of the past.

We should all articulate our solidarity more often.

Bite sized acts of solidarity

Another superb example of video. This has a very compelling call to action.

I've very recently been exposed to the concept of 'bite sized acts of solidarity' a much better term than 'slacktivism'.

Bite sized acts of solidarity are the actions we should be looking to inspire our supporters to take as often as we can.

An action however small requires some level of thought, we need to get people thinking about the things that are wrong more often.

I found this video on the Osocio web site. Which is one of the best resources on the web.
