The blogger video

It's fairly obvious from some of my other posts that I have an obsession for video.  It's just that I think video is such a great way of capturing attention and showing impact clearly.

Which is why I love this one from Blogger.  Doesn't need sound, very clear and tells a story brilliantly.

Charities and campaigning organisations should use this style of video to update their supporters on impact of support and future plans.  As I've mentioned before creating this instantly shareable content has to be a priority for organisations who want to fully utilise social media to spread their message and engage new supporters.

If you have great nonprofit examples - I'd love to see them.

  1. I agree Paul. These animated/infographic videos communicate very effectively to me.

Some of those I've spotted or liked include:

A few others that I've liked, mostly focusing on social media (of course):

I'm surprised there aren't more of these kind of compelling videos by charities and nonprofits. That said, I remember reading comments on the Girl Effect videos that these were not low cost creations.

Still, I long to create one about UK Fundraising, or to be more useful, to create one about the fundraising sector and how fundraisers achieve so much with so little.

  2. wow! Thanks Howard, loads of great examples!

I totally agree, constantly surprised at the lack of video use by UK charities and nonprofits. But then maybe I was brain washed at last years IFC where some great speakers promoted the use of video.
