A YouTube year in review
As you may know.
I love a good year in review video.
But I'm not gonna fib. Most of the cultural references in this one flew a mile over my head...
This one from Facebook is much better.

It's end of year video time...
Facebook have made one.
2013 - A Year in Review from Facebook Stories on Vimeo.
So have YouTube.
And Save the Children...
Greenpeace's is the best...
I haven't made one. Happy New Year.

The social media revolution
A totally brilliant video/animation packed full of stats and insights about social media trends and usage.
Updated for 2013.
And I don't even like Fat Boy Slim that much.

YouTube is 7!
YouTube is only 7!
They made this great video to celebrate their birthday.
A stand out statistic for me, obviously mobile related, is that there are 600 million mobile playbacks a day.
At 1 minute 42 seconds there is a clip from this amazing video.
It gets me every time I watch it, because it's real.

Save the Children & YouTube annotations ...
Another great use of video, specifically the annotations feature on YouTube.
I've often wondered why charity films don't make more use of that feature, so was pleased to find this example. I think it's quite neat. It was made for Save the Children as part of the YouTube Cannes Young Lions Ad Contest. Follow the link and there are lot more Save the Children videos made by young film makers.
