Oil on Canvas, Greenpeace NZ campaign

A really good campaign video from Greenpeace New Zealand.

Highlighting the destruction caused by the October 2011 Rena oil spill in a really effective and thought provoking way.

20,000 birds were killed in the spill. As the camera pulls back you get a real sense of scale as the screen fills with images created by the oil soaked bodies of some of the birds that perished in the disaster.

The call to action is great, it's a simple and single minded ask - text your name to sign the petition against deep sea oil drilling.

There was also an exhibition which displayed the prints.

Found on the always brilliant Marc van Grup's Google + page. His Osocio site is a fabulous resource.
